Beauty, Health and Living Blog (in memory of Madame C.J. Walker)
I ran into an article over on WebMD about mineral makeup in general and found it very interesting. To sum up the point of the article in a few words it basically says that the same ingredients that are in other types of makeup (and they noted foundation as being one of them) are also in mineral makeup. The difference between regular makeup and mineral makeup is that mineral makeup is that it is grind finely into a powder and sometimes does not contain chemicals and other unmentionables that bad for you…and such.
There is also organic makeup too which is kind of cool if you are not into chemicals and what not. Organic anything does cost more money than the regular, but can you really put a price on beauty? Well, only the individual making that decision for him or herself can make that call.
My advice, if you’d like to try out mineral makeup, is to start with a mineral foundation like the one below, in your shade of course, and if you like that then move on to a mineral kit. After you become comfortable with what you got then you can move on to the eye, blush and bronzer kits. They are sweet!
